It was Shark Week on TBS as AEW hosted week 2 of their Fyter Fest Dynamite special. The show featured the likes of Brody King, Darby Allin, Jade Cargill, FTW Champion Ricky Starks and more.

Plus, the main event saw the return of Chris Jericho’s Painmaker persona as he went one-on-one with bitter rival Eddie Kingston inside a barbed wire deathmatch.

Brody King def Darby Allin-

A rivalry that has taken shape since Brody King’s AEW World Title shot a few weeks ago, The House Of Black’s powerhouse looked to dispose of Darby Allin, whereas Allin was out for revenge after King’s vicious attack a few weeks ago at a meet and greet.

The opening moments of the match saw both men not holding back as Darby took the fight to the outside, driving King’s head into the ring post, but the power of King would soon shift the momentum back into his favour.

Brody would continue to dissect Allin cracking with a series of thunderous chops before launching him around the ring.

Allin would regain some offence hitting the Code Red on King, but The House Of Black’s monster would be too much, spiking Allin with the Gonzo Bomb to pick up the victory.

Post-match saw King continue the assault to lure out Sting. King would lock Sting in the rear choke before Malakai sprayed the mist in his eyes.

However, their dominance provoked the arrival of Miro, who suffered the mist himself back at Forbidden Door.

Miro and Black would stare each other down, making the situation enigmatic between the two.

AEW Interim World Champion Jon Moxley and ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta def Best Freinds-

Orange Cassidy and William Regal joined commentary to take a closer match at this tag team bout. It was an emotional match for Wheeler Yuta, who used to be aligned with Trent Beretta, Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy as a part of the Best Friends before joining the Blackpool Combat Club.

For the majority of the match, Trent and Taylor took their frustrations out on Yuta, keeping Moxley out of the match for as long as possible.

Nonetheless, Moxley would soon enter the fray and showcase his viciousness and tenacity to take control of the match.

Best Friends would fight back and come close to picking up the victory after a series of piledrivers, but it would be The Blackpool Combat Club who emerged victorious after a clever roll-up from Yuta on Taylor secured the victory.

Swerve In Our Glory AEW Tag Team Championship celebration-

Swerve and Keith Lee took to the ring to address the AEW fans. Multi-platinum artist Kevin Gates was in attendance.

Before Swerve and Lee could celebrate, they were interrupted by Smart Mark Sterling and Tony Nese.

The segment would end with Kevin Gates dropping Tony Nese and Mark Sterling receiving a cake to the face.

Chrisitan and Luchasaurus def The Varsity Blonds-

Pillman Jr. and Garrison looked for revenge after Luchasaurus and Chrisitan attack them previously on Dynamite.

Luchasaurus would dominate the match, utilising his power to take out both opponents, before dropping them with chokeslams and tagging Cage in so he could pick up the victory.

Post-match saw celebrations interrupted by the return of Jungle Boy. Jungle Boy came face-to-face with Luchasaurus before the powerhouse realigned with Jungle Boy, who took off to get his hands on Cage through the crowd.

Ricky Starks ( c ) def Cole Karter- FTW Championship

Karter would take the fight to Starks in the opening moments of the bout, demonstrating great athleticism to take out the FTW Champion.

A missed 450 splash from Karter cost him as Starks would capitalise and hit the spear, retaining his championship.

Starks addressed the Atlanta crowd, teasing a second open challenge, which would be answered by none other than Danhausen.

The FTW Champion accepted the challenge for next week’s Fight For The Fallen special edition of Dynamite.

The IWGP, AAA and ROH Tag Champions took to the ring to address their 2 out of 3 fall match against The Briscoes this Saturday at ROH Death Before Dishonor.

TBS Champion Jade Cargill and Kiera Hogan def Athena and Willow Nightingale-

The match began with Athena taking control of Keira Hogan. Willow would continue the momentum taking Hogan and Cargill out on the outside.

However, the TBS Champion would soon regain control, driving Athena into the mat with a huge slam. Hogan would follow up with a huge DDT to continue the pressure on Athena.

The result would end the same way any match would that involves Jade Cargill, a Jaded to Willow Nightingale secured a huge victory for The Baddies.

‘The Painmaker’ Chris Jericho def Eddie Kingston- Barbed Wire Deathmatch

In what could be the final instalment of the Chris Jericho and Eddie Kingston rivalry, Eddie Kingston looked to fulfil his desire for revenge and exert as much punishment as possible on his rival.

However, Kingston would have to fave the most violent and sadistic version of Chris Jericho. The Painmaker.

The Painmaker is undefeated in AEW, and for Kingston to beat him could be considered the biggest win in his career.

A stipulation of the match saw The Jericho Appreciation society suspended inside a shark cage to prevent interference.

The match began quickly with Kingston busting Jericho open with a barbed wire microphone before focusing his assault on the head of Jericho, dragging a barbed wire baseball bat across his head.

Kingston would continue to not give Jericho the space to regroup and launch him into the barbed wire ropes.

However, The Painmaker would shift the momentum of the match after a frankensteiner off the top rope saw Kingston crash onto a barbed wire board.

Jericho almost had the match won after synching in the Walls Of Jericho, with Kingston tangled in the barbed wire.

A turning point in the match saw Ruby Soho and Tay Conti collide before Conti’s old friend Anna Jay reignited her friendship and realigned with Conti, taking out Soho and releasing the JAS from the shark cage.

The Blackpool Combat Club and Ortiz would emerge to level the playing field. As Kingston looked to pick up the victory, the return of Sammy Guevara was the difference maker as Jericho was able to hit Kingston with the Judas Effect with his arm wrapped in razor wire to pick up the victory.

Post-match woudl see Kingston fight back and get revenge, closing the show with Jericho crashing through the barbed wire spider web on the outside.
