THE global beauty market for men has grown significantly within the last decade. Gone are the days when a bar of soap and water were seen as the only elements within their skin and grooming care regimen. Male beauty products have now diversified to include beard butters, oils, shaving creams and so much more.

But recent studies have shown an increase in skin irritation associated with male products containing parabens, mineral oils, and other chemical preservatives. More men are experiencing eczema breakouts, acne, ingrown hairs and even dandruff within their beards.

As part of its quest of becoming a natural Jamaican whole body care company, Zipporah Hair and Skin Limited recently launched Zipporah for Him to meet the needs of men, naturally.

“The feedback has been amazing for our Zipporah Hair and Skincare products. So many people have seen improvements in the way their hair and skin look and feel, and they love that our products are 100 per cent natural. However, more men were asking for their own products and women asked because their husbands kept using them! It just felt like there was enough interest to create a product line specifically for them,” said Carmen Hope Thomas, CEO of Zipporah Hair and Skin Limited.

Zipporah for Him consists of a beard oil, shaving foam, aftershave, beard and body wash and beard butter. Like all Zipporah products, the men’s line consists of natural DHT inhibitors to prevent hair loss, nourishing oils to moisturise each hair shaft from deep within, and essential oils to stimulate and promote healthier skin.

“Our men’s line comes with the signature scent of spiced rosewood oil and lavender. We created this scent specifically for the line and it also contains pheromones that will attract the opposite sex,” explained Thomas.

She expressed that her favourite part of the Zipporah for Him is the beard oil. “Not only did we provide a healthy amount of oil that’s so versatile, it can be use on hair, beard and even the skin. It’s light, with no heavy parabens, petroleum or mineral oils. It’s a mixture of pure oils that is scented with essential oils.”

Men should notice a healthier beard, tightened pores and fewer bumps and irritation after shaving.

“We believe that the entire family should be using natural products that are healthier and make hair more manageable, skin softer and without blemishes and hair growth without chemicals,” said Thomas.
